| Description |
Correspondence with a number of individuals, particularly Leslie Orgel. The correspondence concerns administrative matters, including staffing. The file includes an Annual Report of the Director to the Board of Trustees (February 1965), and Minutes to an Annual Fellows Meeting (11 and 12 February, 1968)
The file contains some correspondence that pre-dates Crick's involvement with the Salk Institute (founded 1960) concerning visa matters. The earliest letter (15 January, 1953) is from Crick to Dr Wyckoff at the Science Office of the American Embassy, London, regarding immigration visas: "Dr David Harker has suggested I get into touch with you. Dr Harker has offered me a job for one year at the Protein Structure Project, and I propose to arrive in New York with my family in September of this year. We have a passage on the Mansitania sailing on 22nd August...."
