Description

This appears to be a notebook kept by one of the members of Voluntary Aid Detachment L100: they are listed in the opening pages along with their addresses, mostly in London, the majority in the Kensington area.

This is followed by "Notes on Dr Ward's lectures" [possibly Ronald Ogier Ward of Onslow Square, who had served with the British Red Cross during the Balkan War?], providing basic information on a number of nursing matters, including "Remedial Remedies/Applications", "Administration of Drugs, etc", "Preparation of Operating Room", "Preparation of the Patients", "Fractures", "Dietetics" and a range of other topics: at a first-aid level.

A useful introduction to the Voluntary Aid Detachment and its history.
